Acrometal has partnered with its sister company AcroTech Southwest, a manufacturer of precision plastic reels, to expand its product offering to the SMT market. This innovative partnership creates a "one-stop shop" for SMT reel supplies.
AcroTech's precision injection molded reels are made of prime natural white high-impact polystyrene and crystal clear polystyrene. AcroTech reels offer easy assembly and disassenbly and are easy to load. In addition, cusotmers can specify cusotm culors and logos. IN addition, the reels have abundant label space and offer einternal or external anti-static protection.
Acrometal's precision reels are constructed of flanges and hubs manufactured in-house from top grade aluminum sheet coil, castings and extrusion produced at the mill to our exacting specifications. Acrometal's tape reel production area is equipped with the latest in robotics, aluminum blanking, precision secondary machining operations, hard coat anodizing, and precision roller leveling technology and "cleanroom" inspection and packout areas, ensuring a high-quality, high-volume product that comes to the cusotmer ready for the most stringent applications. Standard reels are available with precise dimensions to ensure high-speed packaging on any take-up system. Flange diameters range from 7" to 16" in diameter and flange thicknesses range from 0.050" to 0.090". Standard hub widths range from 8 mm to 56 mm. Custom reels and hubs canb e produced in numerous sizes, window configurations and in several anodized colors with cusom engravings to meet any customer specification.
